this shaft is stuck inside the bearing and won't come out from the normal way of taking the cover off. cover won't slide off like normal as it should so I am stuck on what to do. I need to put in new gears and a stage6 cover, so I don't need the shaft, bearing, seal, cover. any ideas?

I actually got mine out the first time I did a gear swap with bearing and shaft by taking it for a long ride . So the transmission got warm to the touch ,drained the oil and with rubber mallet tapped out the shaft with bearing attached .
Now i just heat the transmission cover with a heat gun and then tap it out with a rubber mallet and a piece of wood
I never reuse the bearing I just press on a new one on the shaft when I am pressing gears and then reheat the transmission case and press it in .

I can't tap anything out as the gearing can only be accessed from the cvt side. so I need some kind of puller what could wrap around the shaft nut and some hell pull it out, but I can't find a tool that would fit/look like it would work. I am sure if I pull the seal out the cover will slide off? but then I am stuck with the shaft, I guess I could heat up the area?

With a small torch heat the bearing from the inside. With a rubber mallet tap the axle out from the outside. The bearing will stay in its seat that way.

Slide Hammer should work.. do you know the best one to use that would work on my application? I.e would it attach to the yamaha/minarelli shaft?

Need to find one that will thread on to the shaft, or in some way attach to it (chain, hook etc.) also you could possibly get a piece of steel angle iron that will span the CVT cover area and drill a hole through it so the shaft will go in it,then space it up with washers, sockets etc then use the clutch nut to pull the shaft out through it..

Propane or MAPP gas torch. Something (big visegrips?) to grab the shaft with. Heat the case right around the bearing. Up to 300F is ok. Pull on the visegrips. Now the slidehammer is a great persuader, drilling the end of the shaft so the slidehammer will thread into the shaft would give the cleanest pull. A carbide bit may be needed if the shaft is hardeded, but they are not all that expensive. Once the shaft is gone, you'll have a few options for the bearing.
