Threw a cheap Amazon 50mm bbk on. Decked the cylinder cause piston was too far in the hole for my liking. Blew head gasket within 200 miles. Are there any better head gaskets available besides the single layer steel gasket it came with? I’ve looked around a few vendors like gy6racing.com and didn’t see anything. Thought some of the more experienced guys would know and is this a common problem with built 50 and/or 150 gy6 engines?

I had chatGPT condense your story because it's so damn long.
The narrator planned to swap the scooter's engine but temporarily installed a cheap Amazon big bore kit, noticing some minor issues with it. They adjusted the piston-to-head clearance, improving power significantly, and rode it for 200 miles before encountering starting problems. After inspecting, they found the head gasket had failed, possibly due to running lean and high compression, leading to a discussion about potential solutions and head gasket quality.
From the recap id suggest: Have the head and cylinder decked, use a quality head gasket, use higher quality head studs and torque the head down a little harder.
