Is PWK carb good for the engine ?

Hi,

I found on internet that the pwk carb cools down the engine at full throttle (because of the additional power jet), so is it a healthy tuning for a 4 stroke mini scooter ?

I have used these carbs and haven't had a problem...until now. The carb I have on my bike has been going strong for almost 2years. It's a 21mm with a9 cam 50mm piston and jug. I'm in the middle of troubleshooting. But a new carb seems way easier. But hey, 2 years ain't bad.

power jet is nothing but problems.
find me one that REALLY run it. be it IRL or on youtube. not those people saying they do but dont.

yes pwk / phbg is better for cooling. its not power jet related tho. its venturi related ( i guess ).
i dont have pwk ( because i was afraid ill have the widely known fuel starvation issue ) but a phbg.

my over-lean jetted 19mm phbg make my engine run cooler than it ever did, with both properly jetted and overly jetted CVK carb. from 17.5 to 24mm. on the keihin 24, i tried a 130 main jet. thats way too big. it was perfect with a 105. so imagine how much fuel was there to cool the engine. with my 19mm phbg, way too small jet ( 50 while its perfect with a 102 ) was running 7F cooler than with the over jetter 24mm cvk. i dont know if you realize how huge this is of a difference between cvk and phbg just for cooling.

did you have quick throttle action problem ? ( be it 1/3 of full throttle, same happen  to any throttle, just on fast action ) ?
did you change needle ?

I live and die with cp21 carbs, never ever had a problem with a cp carb, more expensive than a Amazon carb sure is, but you pay for the quality
