Hello Group. I recently installed a 50mm BBK on my 2018 MVP. I have read so much on this installation, especially fine tuning. I have learned to tune my carb, my clutch and my cvt. Here are my stats; 20mm carb jetted 33-85, 3-9 and 3-7 gram rollers giving me 8 as a total on a stock variator. My stock clutch has been upgraded to 1500 clutch and contra springs. I drilled two 3/8 holes in my muffler for better breathing. I deleted the PAIR system, stock airbox and installed a cone filter. I'm hitting 43.4 mph at 7800 rpms. This was GPS verified. I'm 62 years old and 240lbs. I live in Delaware where the roads are flat, straight and long. I'm very happy with my results.

It gives you great satisfaction working on your own transport. Not getting ripped off by dealers, and being able to fix problems as they arise. Well done. 👍

So now that have found that eights work best, should I stay with rollers or sliders?

Sliders last longer. But it's down to personal choice really. I have always just used rollers. Cheap to buy and easy to change. There is a difference between good quality rollers and cheap ones though. I will always try to buy a good brand as they certainly last longer from my experience.

So now that have found that eights work best, should I stay with rollers or sliders? sliders do work better - just be sure you put them in correct, they do sit in the variator 3 or 4 different directions. If you're on the computer webpage version of the forum, there should be a navigator bar at the left with FAQ information, the correct slider install info is there.

Putting sliders in backwards was hilarious! Everyone should try it
