Unless your head came off. It definitely wouldn't roll as far. Have seen some pretty horrible injuries just wearing an open face helmet. So no helmet would be way worse. My sister-in-law son had a bad collision about six months ago wearing an open face helmet. Went 60mph into the back of a van. Injuries so bad his mum didn't recognise him. Three months in hospital. Wear a helmet, preferably full face.

I wear my full face helmet. It’s hot I don’t care.

Not a really accurate test as Paul pointed out, but hopefully it'll wake some people up. I still see people in Delaware on scooters or motorcycles riding without a helmet all of the time. DE just changed their law September 1st to go from no one needs a helmet to now new riders must wear a helmet for 2 years after getting their motorcycle endorsement. That makes it seem fairly clear that they recognize the danger of not wearing a helmet (there used to be arguments about how helmets could be bad and cause neck injuries and stuff). I guess it's just a personal freedom thing for DE. Not a fan of being told what to do in all cases, but seatbelt and helmet laws are OK with me to persuade the folks that don't get there on their own.

Just remember to sign the organ donor card and make your wishes known that you want to donate your organs since you refuse to wear the proper gear. Make that a option and see if there would be a actual increase in people wearing helmets in non mandatory states.
No helmet and you are automatically on the organ donor list in the event of a crash.

When you renew, or apply for a driving licence in the UK now. There is a box you can tick to become a donor. It has a code on the licence if you agree to be one.

While in OC for Bikefest there was a guy just wearing a baseball cap even though there is a helmet law. Maybe he hopes it'll be mistaken for one of those baseball cap looking helmets... but the difference is obvious.
Sunday there was a crash there with head injuries. Person had no helmet.
