Hello, I have a 2014 Honda Metropolitan with 1200km that won’t stay running for more than a minute or two. It starts fine and revs up but then it slowly dies and won’t stay running. I have cleaned the fuel tank and freed up the fuel pump and cleaned the injector. It now has lots of fuel spray from the injector. It has Good spark. Clean air filter. No codes (engine light comes on for a few seconds then goes out) I have swapped stators (and crank sensor) as well as the ignition coil with no real change.
What am I missing…Temp sensor? Why would it run perfectly but only for a short time?

So, someone has molested this thing in the past since the temp sending unit was loose and the O2 sensor broken. I changed them both but can’t figure out how to swap out the connector. The end was damaged and doesn’t make contact with the temp sender. (Code 7 now). Anyone have a tip on removing the connector end on the temperature sending unit wire? Thanks.

Have you checked the fuel pressure while running? If the pump needed to be freed up, it may have internal damage..

Thanks for the reply 190mech! To put this thread to bed (in case anyone is searching to solve a similar problem) the problem was with the EOT sensor and O2 sensor. The O2 sensor was broken with the connector fake attached and the EOT was also loose. Once I replaced the O2 sensor, then I got a code 7 for the EOT sensor because the connector was not making contact. Once I fixed that I have no more codes and a perfect running engine. Starts great in the cold and revs up nice!
Moral of the story is to not trust what you can't see on a used scooter with unknown history!
