OK I have an Eton sport scooter with a X61P39QMB engine. It had no spark. I have changed the stator,CDI,coil, and a new plug. I have found two fuses a 15 amp and 20 amp both are good. Battery is fully charged and still no spark. Any suggestions?

If y0u have a self-powered(no battery required) CDI, disconnect the ignition switch and attempt to start. The ignition switch grounds the CDI in OFF, and does nothing in ON. If there is a problem with the 'kill' function, the switch beind disconnected may allow it to start. Do you get any signal from the pickup on the case that provides the 'fire' signal to the CDI? It is self powered, so battery not required to start. If your system requires battery power, you have a "DC CDI". They are more common in 'up scale' bikes. Read:more expensive. tom

Always diagnose the problem using the troubleshooting charts in the service manuals before guessing game shotgun replacement of parts. DO NOT skip any steps. It is much cheaper and efficient. Too many new GY6 parts are defective right out of the box.

There is a step-by-step diagnosis available. Of note is that if you have an AC powered CDI, the ignition switch and battery are not needed to create spark. The CDI is excited by a coil near the flywheel/stator, and the ignition switch grounds the CDI to kill spark. You can disconnect the ignition switch and it will run(and be fun to attempt to stop if you do get it running). Be aware some have a kill switch in the kickstand, so test with the kickstand folded, and the bike on the center stand. tom
