Seat lock release cable Tank 150

Hi All I was working om my new 2008 Tank Viaggio 150 and figured out the seat latch system. What seems like a good idea when new sure is junk later on. The latch is very fussy to hook and I am sure there is so much resistance in the cable the key would soon bend or brake. Has anyone come up with a fix for this? Other than remove the lock. I like having a locking seat area but not the possible trouble this system could bring. Thanks John

Lube the cable,replace the cable,use a cycle brake cable adapted to your needs,these things get ignored.
