Went to work as usual about 7.30 this morning and had to cancel by 9.30 due to weather. Sat in cafe when got the 25 miles back to local town and boss walked in bought me cake and coffee then son came in going to take me out for a steak dinner tonight then mate who been working in Saudi Arabia for 17 years came in with his two daughters from Cambodia and is moving back to his place over here. Dropped them off and now sorting bed and everything as they basically came home to a empty house as he use to rent it. Thought I was going to have a restful day lol.

Well got most stuff done but just sorting his bank stuff out and local one closed means nearest is about 30 miles away but luck would have it they have 2 staff who come up here 2 days a week to a local community centre so we only had to go back and get his passport and he sorted. Meanwhile I am sat in the car with his noisy daughters who are trying to teach me Cambodian. Lucky for his neighbour my friend Kate with these noisy ones as she is deaf. For some reason their mum cannot enter the UK even though the children were born here. Cannot even get a visitor visa at present. Was not a problem when last over but Ian was saying you now have to be earning £33000 a year before she's allowed to stay here and ain't many jobs in this area that pays that damn crazy he reckons but okay if you are rich.   |

The UK is just trying to stop people from slipping in with a visa then going on the dole. It is a problem with many countries with migrants and refugee people seeking asylum etc even though it is only "economic asylum". Then there are "boat people" that try to reach land and claim asylum. It is complete Bulls#*t. I am on the 'dole' now but I did my bit to defend and improve this country and pay my own way.
It just chaps my ass that they don't sink the 'boats', 7 miles offshore and 'rescue' anyone that swims within a mile of shore. -Then load them on an outgoing freighter back to their country of origin without ever coming ashore. But then I am not politically correct and don't claim to be remotely human (I am a genetic neanderthal). I think all the asylum seekers should stay home and use their talents and money to seek improvements in their lives and conditions at home.

well milly, happy belated birthday , I been off line for a bit. OMG , I don't know if my ears are ready for Cambodian spoken with a Welsh accent. BTW , you could have your friends wife come here . all she has to do is get to Mexico and then she could be here in a flash. NO PROBLEM . who knows, maybe she could then get an expedited visa for Wales. |
