Hi everyone about to put a malossi sport 70 and malossi wild lion and malossi red filter in standard air filter box and jet to suit , I was chasing advice on what you do and how you are meant to ride it and for how long when running it in ,I’m new to the scooters but loving how fun and addictive they are😁I was gunna try and build a reliable tourquey little wheelie bike , I have only so far cleaned out carby it has 70 main jet ,put in malossi 6gram rollers ,a fly clutch, and new brake pads I have taken it out twice in my van to car parks for wheelie practice as not registered yet and wow I was surprised how fun and easy it is to do big long slow wheelies (many years mountain biking so already had the manuals and wheelies down) was kinda wondering why I spent money coz I thought I needed to get that stuff to do good scooter wheelies but I suppose the jog is crazy light ,anyways it is a o6 model and the exhaust is a heavy cat exhaust does the malossi white lion have better lo end than a standard pipe just coz some one said to me you lose a little bit off the bottom over a standard pipe but it’s got no cat so I was thinking would have to be better ,and also does the squish have to be checked and the sharp edges on the ports have to be smoothed up or do ya just bolt up and ride?and do most people run a spark plug temp gauge even on a mellow sport 70 build ,anyways sorry bt all the babble but frothing on the scooters and see why ya all love em ,cheers Todd

The malosssi wild lion paired with a malossi cylinder is a go to combo for me The power band starts at the same place as stock it just runs to a higher rpm .
6 grams in the variation will fit right in the meat of the power band
Chamfering the ports with a file is a must do so it won’t catch a ring You just have to knock the sharp edges off
I run temp gauges on all my scoots to protect my hard work

Thanx for your reply mate I’ll definitely get a temp gauge then what kinda temps should they run at ?what main jetsize ya think on standard carb to run I got a 75-90 kit ,I haven’t got a new contra spring yet the standard one seems to work good so far but maybe a new contra will be better ?I love the little jog it seems a bit like the vino that we don’t get ,2 stroke scooters seem hard to come by in aus and I’m always looking incase another good bike pops up ,it seems like our rare options are jog,bws 100,aerox and piaggio zip but all pretty scarce and I live in Tassie so when one seems to pop up the are usually very far away and would cost twice as much as the bike to get it ,but I’ve noticed they sell instantly when they do pop up,cheers Todd

If your belt is not slipping your contra is fine For a daily rider you want to run the softest contra possible to cut down on wear and tear on the transmission.
That jet kit should be fine You might not even have to go up on the main . with a standard airbox wild lion and malossi kit a small jet change is all you need .
For temps in farenheit for the cylinder head temp under 350 degrees on miles long wide open runs is what you want the temps to settle in at since fuel mixture provides about 80% of the cooling.
My vinos with the wild lion perform best with a main jet that levels off in the 320-330 degree range

Just curious what model jog you have? The jogs in Europe are very different to the American market version. This is what we got in Europe.
