Hi
My daughter's 2022 Panther started losing power and wouldn't idle. Valve clearances were checked at recent service. Now it starts ok and will rev on the stand but after a little while it loses all power. Won't start again unless I leave it for 20 minutes or so, then same thing happens. It has a fuel injector. Using E5 petrol as we were warned off E10. Someone suggested changing the CDI, but the one in the scooter is a 4-pin in a square layout and I can't source one anywhere. Also don't know if it's ac or dc. But if it runs for a while would that be the problem? Any suggestions? Thanks all

I would have suggested looking at the fuel supply to the injector. It is possible the filter is partially clogged, not allowing sufficient quantity of fuel to keep the engine running, but enough trickle to let the fuel line & injector fill up via gravity so you are able to start and run for a short while again. I would check filter and pump(can you hear it run) assuming the pump runs to pressurize fuel for the injector to squirt. I am totally unfamiliar with any 50cc injection system, just cars & trucks. If the filter is not clogged, you can also check the fuel tank outlet fitting. Most have a built-in screen to hold big stuff, such as grass clippings, mice, dirt, etc. The stuff will be pulled by fuel flow towards the outlet and can clog enough to slow fuel flow enough to cause problems. tom

A clogged fuel tank air vent will cause similar problems.
