I took out the starter clutch and realized it had residue in it, but also the pins are stuck inside and don't come out to hold the little metal barrels. maybe someone has some advice how to get them out? tried cleaning it and fiddling around but they all seem pretty stuck

could you take a picture of starter clutch my zuma clutch just came apart easy enough i used a pick to pull out one of the metal rollers and then it came out
If you decide to build your zuma one of the performance mods is to take the starter clutch out and just add spacers to make up for it on the crank

thank you Zino. I actually ended up solving my problem. After I took off the starter clutch the metal rollers fell our right away. However the pins that are sitting on top of the little springs to hold the rollers were all three completely stuck and pushed inside. so almost not visible. I created a little metal hook and was able to pull them out. lots of stuff stuck in there but now working again! thanks also for the hint with the mod. will maybe read more into it in the future

just read my zuma build thread for how i measured it Then I just used some washers to space it out .
The starter clutch delete adds a few hundred rpms and it spins up faster with that extra weight off the crank.
