Hi all been riding around on the new cast 70 malossi ,Wild lion,75 main jet only got the original 70 left to go back to which gunna try soon :the original jog cv50 5su ,carby I’ve noticed I think 12 mm with auto choke is not very tunable ,pilot air screw plastic capped off and no needle adjustment slots ,any thoughts on what carby for this setup and also the throttle is a push pull type ,do I just get another standard throttle cable for a new carby ,the little jog is nearly spot on for what I want but think need to sort this out and it will be great ;cheers Todd

Dellorto carbs 17.5 phva for your set up would be my first choice
you would need jets in 85-95 range for tuning with stock air box
with a 19mm phbg as a second choice you would need jets in the 80 -90 range for this one with stock air box
you will need a new throttle cable and a manual choke cable
The dellorto carbs are easy for me to get parts for from multiple vendors

I don't know of any two stroke carbs that use the push pull throttle system. A PHVA Dellorto 17.5mm should work great like Zino said.
Not sure what brand you carb is. But if it's not a Dellorto, you might need a choke as well.

I don't know of any two stroke carbs that use the push pull throttle system. A PHVA Dellorto 17.5mm should work great like Zino said. Not sure what brand you carb is. But if it's not a Dellorto, you might need a choke as well. I've never seen a two stroke use that system either. The Dellorto PHVA can be fitted with auto chokes. In fact, I have exactly one of those lying around. The oem 2 wire cable can be connected to the 2 wires from the dellorto choke. |
