Ruckus 250 build

Wanted to start my build thread. Ruckus with elite 250 swap. Iv done a few over the years. this one I wanted to take my time and make it nice. This one will be based on stock geometry and not lowered and stretched. Electronics on this will be run on the m.unit blue pdm and instruments will be via a aem cd7 dash with vdm for speed paired with a 6 channel can module for temps ,fuel level, and throttle position for tuning. Adding the inline wideband for air fuel ratio . Disk front setup will be a must.

Super cool stuff! I just looked up the aem cd5-7 and modules available for it. I did not know that stuff existed LoL! I have been wanting exactly what they have for a number of years but that stuff is $$$. I will be following this build closely

I may get the smaller 5” dash and see which I like better. This 7” is large lol but I like it. Just hard to fit it on a ruckus.








the m.unit , which I have on  another bike I absolutely love. Deletes all fuses and turn signal relay. built in blue tooth and alarm!  I also have the m.button, this will take all the handle bar switches and convert them into 1 signal wire to the m.unit to control everything on the bars.  Pretty sweet little piece.  I had a set of nos Zuma controls I’m using and will be wire tucked in the bars with only the signal wire following the brake cable down.  


and lastly the 6 channel can module for oil and coolant temp, throttle position, fuel level ,rpm and air/fuel ratio.     The VDM will give me gps speed as well as acceleration and braking forces. Left/right g forces n such just for fun

The dash is fully customizable . Il play with the dash design program later to make something that suits the ruckus.

Modified an existing layout with what I’d like to see on the main screen . needs some tweaking to make it unique but you get the idea. This is a simulator so you can input values to see what it will look like

First image is the “splash” screen. Comes on for 10 seconds when powering on . Il make it more personalized later just wanted to show it’s capabilities 🤘🏼

I see you removed the crossbar from the rear frame for clearance. If your engine mount was longer(for a stretch build),
would it clear that crossbar? Asking for a friend lol.

By the way, that engine mount looks tough as nails, great job.

Thanks! The frame is actually an old aftermarket made by passwordjdm. Dont think they’re available for some years now. Made of chromoly . I think I know what you mean but I don’t think it would fit right within the crossbar . I had seen few other 250 stretched swaps and think they still needed to cut it out
