Hi I have a 2018 rh50 that I installed a naraku 70cc bbk on also installed a technicas next exhaust and a factory carburetor with jets drilled out jets in it The first day I ran it pretty easy. No wot at all. The second day opened up a little more so after couple of days it was running good tben all of a sudden i had a soft sieze on thr engine waited a second it started right up and proceeded home ran about 30 seconds seized again. Started back up immediately so I drove about 3 miles at about 1/4 throttle to home. Thought maybe it was the drilled jets so installed a naraku 19mm carb over the weekend. Ran great over the weekend but on the way home experienced another soft seize. The scooter started.back up immediately after and I drove on home. I was going at about 3/4 to throttle but not running hard and it was about 50 degress so shouldn't have ran hot. I have been checking the plug all weekend and today and it was almost perfect on the color chart Everytime. I'm lost and need help. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be ?

If it was seizing, I would go up a bit on the jet size. You should always start bigger than you think you will need. Ideally it would be a bit rich and bog. Then you can work down in size. But a pack of jets. The same brand ideally. Carbs are never really just a bolt on part. The jet supplied is rarely the right one.

Are you running stock air box ? Stock air box gives most consistent air flow in all weather conditions
Do you have an exhaust leak ? With the scooter running take a gloved hand and wet rag and plug exhaust . If it kills quick you are good if it keeps running you have an exhaust leak find it with a soapy bottle of water spray until you find the leak if it is by the cylinder this is bad if it is by the silencer it is ok .
what size main jet in the 19 mm are you running ? Start low 90s and work your way down . It should run crappy if you start that high Drop jets till it runs clean at wide open this will still be on the rich side track top speed via gps on the same wide open run . I run the fastest jet if 2 have the same speed I run the richest one.
You should have a temp gauge to protect your hard work

The specs say it has a 70 main jet. I am going to begin trying the jets and checking the exhaust for leaks when I get home. Also even tho it seems to be running fine how much damage do you think the soft seize has done. Does the piston need to be changed ok. Or run it until it fails ?

It's not the piston you have to worry about ,it's the cylinder.I have a 98 jet in mine and the roughhouse comes with a 82 for 50cc so you know you're very lean.Everyone on this site is going to tell you to get rid of that pipe because it has no power.

Just put another bbk on my buddy’s went with naraku this time… got 3700 miles out of another one from Amazon, cut the back of the exhaust off and found the wading had it plugged so just removed it welded it up… I was thinking about making some reed valves out of some stainless I have laying around…
