I have been working on a new scoot that I bought this fall. It is a 2008 Tank Viaggio 150cc. I haven't had much nice weather since I got it running so I don't know that much about it. But the few times I have ridden it I wish it would be just a little quicker to start off. With this said I have been checking into possibly replacing the weights for a little improvement. As I understand the lighter you go the quicker it accelerates. I have 18 x 14 13gram weights in it now. My question is how much of a difference does 1 gram make? Or should I start going 2 lower? I don't want wheelies just a little quicker off the start. Thanks in advance JohnB

One gram is quite a big difference. If you really want to find tune the CVT. It pays to get a set of tuning rollers. It makes it easy to experiment with the various weights. Or you could by a set of 12g. Then you could also mix the two weights together. Spaced out 12g, 13g, 12g, 13g ect it would give you the same weight as 12.5g. Perhaps have a read of this. www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/moped-tuning--rollers
