I have my idle screw all the way in and it will idle so low it shuts off.I dont know if the enrichener has any effect but the brass part from the enrichener was stuck and had to drill it out.If I drilled too deep would that effect anything?

You’re talking about the plug over the air screw? It would damage the head of the screw and make it difficult to adjust.

I’m sorry the only type of idle speed screw I’ve seen is a stop that mechanically limits where the throttle lever stops. The cold enrichment on my Zuma is a timed unit that eventually drops a needle to stop extra fuel from being added. I don’t understand what you drilled out.

when i went to replace the enrichener with a new one the brass part remained in the carb.I dried everything to get it out .I measured the new brass enrichener and sized it up with the drill bit to remove it.It will idle untill it starts to warm then shuts off.

Indeed if you drilled through the brass into the carb body you need to remove the new brass piece and fix that, or if the new brass piece doesn’t fit tightly it would leak around the outer edge causing it to be rich. Permatex and JB Weld both make good epoxies for gasoline applications. That would go along with your symptoms. Does your enrichener use a needle? It possibly might not be dropping enough.

They are so cheap it is not worth messing with damaged ones.

True but I like the satisfaction of fixing things. The problem seems pretty obvious that the enrichment is the problem.
