Shredded a belt today, also broke a few teeth on the outside variator pulley/fan.
What size belt am I looking for exactly? Is this one of those things I can fudge the numbers and get different results? Ie tire size and speed. If so, what kind of dimensions do different things or are desirable? Or is this just a stock replacement thing? I checked scootertuning.ca and they had a few to choose from but the first few I looked at had different dimensions and they were also both different from the one I pulled up on Amazon so now I'm confused.
On a scale of 1-10 how bad do I need to replace this pulley? I'll post a picture below.

It is mostly a stock replacement thing unless you get deep into transmission tuning. Actual belt sizes vary among brands and the measurements are critical. Your dealer may be able to supply OEM belts, of course they will cost more than online part suppliers.
Buy a replacement variator assembly with fan if any parts are damaged or broken. Replace the rollers with the same size/weight as what came out.
There are picture upload instructions in the lobby section.

If the variatior fan is screwed up grab a malossi belt and malossi variator malossi fan and pick up a few mph and better shifting
I copied this from my vino thread so you could have a belt that works besides stock
The stock belts biggest advantage is it lasts for more than 5000 miles Withe the Malossi variator I could get belt travel down to 2mm left
To maximize the cvt I swapped to a larger belt 2000 miles ago Malossi x special #6112741 specs are 796 x 16.5 x 30 It has worn down to 15.6 mm I will change it when she gets below 15mm Full belt travel with the malossi variator up front and stock torque driver out back. The variator has been shimmed to get below 1mm

If the rest of the variator pulley beat up like the fan
If not just replace the fan

The wear limit on belt width is usually considered to be 1mm.
Belt width makes a huge difference in travel.
