Hello. Malaguti F15 2T LC 2003 Minarelli engine, Polini 70cc Sport, 17.5 Dellorto carb with 98 main. Scooter runs weird until 6k RPMs. This happens everytime, even if engine is cold or warm. First I thought that it is because of mix, but I checked the spark plug and it looks very good. Also, it runs perfect after 6k RPM, but until 6k it sounds like it doesn't have enough gas. I can only think at the reed valve cause it is a stock one with aluminum petals and maybe because of their thickness they don't let enough gas to go to piston at low rpm.

Could the power band of your pipe and cylinder need fine tuning of the cvt
Cvt and carb tuning often gives similar performance feedback
Are you running hard clutch springs or medium . when you slowly roll on the throttle what rpm does the scoot creep forward ? I would target as close to 6k rpms or above to give you spunky take off When you hit the throttle wide open from standing do you roll slow for a 100 feet and then pick up speed ? if it rolls slow try stiffer springs to clean it up
If the problem is on off throttle spunkiness at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle Try a half gram less on the weights and see if it cleans it up I tend to run the lightest weights that give me full belt travel/ top speed

It is this one: www.maxiscoot.com/en/product/clutch-kit-malossi-fly-clutch-minarelli-212499?vctype_id=13 I had very stiff springs on the original clutch but when I changed the entire clutch kit I kept its springs. I will try with stiffer springs.

Like Zino said. If you have an expansion chamber exhaust. You will need stiffer clutch springs than that.

Those are malossi white springs they are soft springs . Yellow is medium and red is hard black is extra hard . You at least need yellow possibly red malossi with an expansion pipe like the zx the more extreme pipes need red or black
For reference I run medium springs with a street pipe and sport cylinder When I was running a yasuni r with a sport cylinder i liked red better than yellow .
