Hi all

I’ve had to change the handle bar switches.

The scooter has been stood up for years before I got it back.

Problem is I can’t get the marker lights to work.

Do these side light supposed to come on?.

I’ve had to change the handle bar switch’s because they were not working.

With the engine stopped
the front headlight will come on only
When you slide the switch to the right side.

And with the engine running the headlight and rear light will come on slide the switch to the left.

In the middle is the off position.

It that little light on the bottom of the front above the Mud gard.

Is there a wiring diagram for them for me to follow please.

There is a generic GY6 manual you can download on the drop down menu on the left.
I know in Europe mopeds don't have marker light/side lights. Only motorcycles. My Aerox even has a wire to run the side light. But no bulb for the wife to connect to.
I'm sure the baotain speedy I've worked on only had on/off on the right bar. And high/ low on the left.
Do you still have the old switch gear?

The way you describe it that’s what it’s doing
And I can’t remember if it was working or not
When I first had it new.


I had it new in 2013 for my daughter.
We are in the U.K.

She used it for one year till she was 17 and passed her car driving test.

We sold it on then.
And in September this year I found it going spares or repair non-runner.
They did not know what they had
And shocked 😳 when I showed them the pictures of it.
And all the mods I’ve done to it.
It’s quick scooter lol.

Carb was full of junk and had to remove the tank.

No spark ⚡️ that was down to a side stand switch and I did a bypass
Within 2 hours I had it going again.

The hardest part has been the weather damage because
It’s been outside with no cover on it.

I’m 99% there now to take it for a mot U.K. safety test.

And it’s going to my grandson for Christmas.
