 My belt on prebug Zuma isn’t traveling all the way to the top of my variator. I have no shims in between the front pulleys. I’ve taken apart rear pulley and regreased, checked for smooth operation. changed contra from light to heavy, and weights. Is my new belt just not long enough? What is the best belt for speed on minarelli? |

Stock variator and stock rear pulley (tick),just buy an O.E.belt from yamaha, no matter how many you try no one makes one the same.

Stock rear pulley, Top variator kit, but changed out belt with new one, I get less travel with new belt, old top belt gives more travel, but still would like to see higher up on variator.

You can run,you can dream,you can over think it but Yamaha make the best belt for a Zuma. Geoff see the numerous post,s on belt markings and actual sizes  |

I had a top performance variator & the belt that came with it was definitely shorter than the Yamaha belt. I went straight back to stock belt & gained my variator travel back.
