I ran that kit 2 different times on a bug eye. Once with the stock carb & once with dell 17.5, both still using the oil injection. Honestly couldn’t tell much difference between the 2. 2nd kit is still alive on my vino with stock carb & oil injection. Good to know! I like hearing oil injection success stories. By the way, that variator kit I got from you worked great on my unit. I ended up putting on a 749.5mm belt to use all of the travel.

oil injection works fine I ran my some racier zuma builds all the way to 11k rpm with stock oil injection . check out some jmkjr72 posts about his top trophy on a bug eye zuma he was running a street pipes stock carbs stock gears doing 55 mph I Would LOVE to see 55 mph! I'm not holding my breath for that though. Good to know another person that had success with oil injection. Thanks!

this is from scooter attack site
To understand the origins of Top Performances, we need to go back to 1965. The company Motorparts was founded in Italy by a group of Minarelli engineers. Their main job was the production and distribution of original spare parts for Minarelli engines. It was not until the 1990s that the group began to develop their own parts. The aim was and still is to improve the performance, reliability, safety and riding comfort of two-wheelers. Thus, the Italian company entered the world of scooter racing under the name Top Performances.
dr evo is the same kit with the black trophy-they just try to sell it with a more catchy name and is cheaper its a very common kit here in europe
i have same bike with you and 2 days ago i did the malossi cast, paired with yasuni eco that was already installed stock carb, cvt, gears and i still use the oil pump the difference is night and day

Quick update on the build. Everything is buttoned up and in the break in process. REALLY happy with the power from what I can tell. Haven't done a wide open top speed run yet, but torque and hill climbing ability is greatly improved. Currently have a 105 main jet (up from a 93) and raised the needle one notch on the stock Dellorto. It's a little on the fat side by the plug color, but that's ok for breaking it in. Kind of a lighter charcoal color. What's everyone's opinion on snorkel removal for the pre-bug? Is there much benefit to it with the stock carb? It would probably make my jetting spot on!

I would leave the snorkle in personally I have done it both ways snorkle in and out. Never noticed much difference in per formace on the 10,000 and below rpm builds .
You could just drop a jet or 2 .

The jet kit I got goes in increments of 5, so I'd have to go to a 100. I'm just scared to death of running this thing too lean!

Try one jet lower and see if it performs better for speed on wide open runs If it doesn’t stay with this jet
If you have temp gauge it would give you idea if you are in the safe zone which a lot of guys use as 350 degrees as a upper limit on large wide open runs .

it seems rich in my opinion i didnt upjet at all when i changed to 70 mallosi kit i just played with the needle and the air i had already yasuni eco and i upjetted a lil bit back when i mounted it\ i personally removed the snorkel but i cant say there is a big difference
what i can surely say is never run the airbox empty and always clean the filter-it prevents dust and dirt from coming in your new cylinder when i removed my oem cylider i noticed it was in really good condition despite its 20+ years old only bad thing the piston head was full of dirt and the ports had some dirt also i think thats bcs i run empty airbox for some time

A bigger bore has more vacuum so it pulls more fuel. So sometimes just bumping the displacement doesn’t even require rejetting. Since you’ve already up jetted for the pipe you might not have needed to at all.

Maybe just a tad lean, but I let it go since I had future plans. 😂

Here's the plug after a short ride with a 100 main jet. Liking that color much more, and gained a MPH!
