Hey all, been thinking about this conversion for a long time and there is limited info and resources out there to support it.
I've been having trouble getting my rear drum brake to engage well and figured out its because I've been using an Adelin CLUTCH lever that only accepts aftermarket brake cables into its perch which don't really sit right in the connection at the rear of the bike at the case. So, it seems to be I either ditch the Adelin lever and go back to a stock lever that uses the OEM cable style or consider this type of upgrade.
Here is the type of cable that the Adelin lever accepts:
Whereas this is the type of cable on the Zuma:
And what makes this especially tricky is the Zuma cable, in order to work and connect properly in the rear of the bike at the drum, needs to have this style of connection/mounting hardware:
Don't even know if it's been done before, at least in the US. There seems to be ample parts available such as brake line, calipers, caliper adapters and levers, but the hub is the lynchpin of unknown for me.
I should mention that I am already running Aerox 13" wheels so the hub I am looking for would be the 3 bolt Aerox hub. But, having trouble confirming which - since I'd have to be sure the hub mates up to the axle splines.
Something that looks something like this:
I found a few of these on ebay but not sure if they'd fit:
