Hi guys, I am having a little problem with the idle on my Amigo Beemer 50cc scooter.
So it was all of a sudden, the idle became high at a traffic light. The scooter just tends to move forward without any throttle engagement. If it is put on center stand, the rear wheel is spinning not normally. The idle is just too high. I adjusted the throttle cable nothing happened. May need to check the carburetor and the idle screw this weekend but I am really busy these two or three days. Just wondering if high idle is bad to the scooter? Can I still ride it for a couple of days?
Also, it sometimes dies at lights, so when I brake it to a stop it just dies. But this is not too often, maybe once a day.
Looking forward to your reply, thanks guys.

Since it happened all of a sudden I doubt the idle screw is the issue. You may have developed a vacuum leak. I would spray carb cleaner on the carb and around, specifically around the base of the intake, and listen for a change in RPM.
