On no. I hope it's not done too much damage.

sounds much too lean in the video you posted. You soft seized it so just upjet it a couple sizes and try another hard pull at top speed and see if it seizes

Damn, sorry to hear that.
Should've been fine, theoretically...
If your needle clip is one up from center it may have been too lean at mid throttle

I haven't pulled the top end off yet to see what it was. I've put 102 miles on the build. I'm running a 94 main and temps, and plug indicate it's where it should be but my needle is one up from center. It's felt good across the throttle range and ran great until it didn't lol. I'll update when I can get it pulled apart if it's not bad I'll richen everything up and see how it runs. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere cast iron polinis don't run right until you seize them at least once 🤔😉

That same issue was happening to me until I re-torqued my head nuts and then it went away.

You couls just remove the little pin that drives the oil pump, and leave it in place. You could remove all that altogether, but you might want to blank off the hole it leaves to stop dirt getting in there. You can also remove the oil tank, saves some weight/place.

Maybe there was no oil getting to it? looks super dry.
The oil pump does need bleeding after disconnecting it, I learned a little late..

Going to give Malossi a try, kinda hard not to with scooterpartsco's prices. Matches the CVT. I'll clean up the polini and throw it on the shelf just in case I need it in the future Also got a plug for the oil pump hole. Just need to fab a hold down or tap another whole and use the one for the oil pump like hippo Now I'm just waiting for another jet set, 100-118, realized I was running a 96 main and I only have a 98 above that.

A US quarter fits in that hole perfectly and will stay with a bit of jb weld. You can also take a tiny strip of metal with a hole in one end to hold it in place as well.

If you have ( or have access to) a 3d printer, you can find the stl’s for free to block that hole.

New Malossi top end is installed. Oil pump is removed and hole plugged. Trailtech is installed. Made a new throttle cable need to get it on and still need to get the Koso tach hooked up. Jet kit is supposed to be here Saturday, hoping it arrives tomorrow. Can't wait to get this back on the road.
