Just wondering how to get this stock 09' Zuma's top speed from 40 to 50+ mph, even uphill, without breaking the bank, budgets about 150 to 200. Thank you!

The biggest bang for buck has to be a big bore kit. Especially useful if you live in an area with lots of hills.

throttle mod the 2009 has a restricted throttle that you can clean up with a dremel www.zumasrus.com/zdox/ztip6.htmlthis would get you over 40 mph 70 cc big block kit you could grab a naraku ,malossi ,polini are very reliable this would give you extra power everywhere and more top speed This would get you in the mid to upper 40s range If you want to break 50 consistently you would need to add some extras above your $200 budget

you could read my zuma thread and many others it comes down to getting a good sport level bbk kit for power every where ,a pipe to push your rpms higher ,a variator to give you a higher gear ratio and better shifting and you do need to up jet the carb to protect your hard work a cht gauge would be one more thing to add here are a solid collection of parts the malossi polini combos with silent pro or polini speed pipes would do it I have built those combos and run them and they would push low 50s www.scootertuning.ca/en/299-engine-package

As Zino said, a good BBK and matching pipe will get you close. I noticed mine was spinning up quite a bit, I could feel it in my feet, so I installed some Athene 15/50 gears which made 50 MPH much more attainable without so much fear of overrevving the stock crank. Of course, the kit, pipe and gears will put you in the $375-$400 range.
Edit: looks like 2009 has a stock final drive ratio of 3:30, so the upgears wouldn't make as big a difference. Saves you about a hundred.

I had a 09 a few years ago. A top performance 70 kit, Leo Vince Zx pipe, & some trans tuning was good for 50+ mph.
