guys i know its been a bit and ive been doin a thing. but im still here im still doin stuff.
i quit my career i was doing and built my own business so toys have been a back burner for a bit but thats perfect times changed prices went all funky and i got deals.
so what i want to share my crazy scoot i was building before is factually still alive i have about 35k miles on the odometer. its been converted to water cooling then electric pump all kinds of other mods diff cvt than stock gears case swapped whatever. i tried to post speeds on here before but they didnt get accepted who cares i still like the community just fine. its winter time here i cant drive my fun car and the weather has been too nice so i fired up my scooter.
tuned it up like i always needed to got the carb leaned out some as i was trying to tune it instead of the cvt. and low and behold she absolutely rips. im currently geared for about 140mph at 12k rpm ignition system cuts out. apparently dont run a stiff spring with malossi overrange and it an absolute dream. my scoot is also a full out race scooter now thanks to using a light spring. right off rip it catches at desired rpm stays at till the end of travel. then speeds up. ive only taken it do the 70-75 mph range because thats too fast. but i like quick. recently i realized i was over complicating my mods and i went oh yeah. so ill be doing my twin cylinder minarelli soon. i have 3 engines after all so i mean what do i have to lose. as of now ive settled on a cylinder i really like and its 15:1 comp ratio and about 20hp and it runs just great with better exhaust i will double to tripple my powerband width and pick up power. so thats in the future. im debating on a way to use one pipe with 2 cylinders it seems actually quite useful but i need to test. at any rate ill net about 40-44hp on a scoot. geared for 140+ at that point those pipes could rev to 14k rpms with that cylinder maybe 14.5k.
if it not enough i had 2 turbos to pick from. i changed my mind. the amr500 got my attention. under 200 bux and it can supply a 1600cc engine with boost. my little 70cc bike eats about 200cc engine worth of fuel and make a 300cc engine worth of power. even just a supple 4 lbs of boost on this would be enough to launch into orbit for much less than the cost of a rocket.
i dont have alot of money im just a guy paying child support but i have skills. can fabricate and design and complain all the time about things. and in the time ive been on this forum i realized how much thats grown along with me and i started using that thought process more. instead of wondering i just did. whats to lose if you can. so i started finally working on it. the weather has been strangely warm all winter and shes almost 100% road worthy.
i dont post videos of things much but im gonna get some of this thing soon its something to behold. i think you guys will enjoy.

i wouldnt say i was gone per say but just distracted. dont laugh when i put stuff up shes had a rough life i mean lets be honest. not many things survive with me for this long. its been through an accident even not my fault and the guy even ran after it so i was out of pocket for replacement parts and got ripped off when i ordered them so even better. it needs paint. i literally parked it basically 2 years over paint. and a wonky cvt tune and "seemed" like too much carburetor.
in reality i had a bad water pump. but just switched to water cooling so everything just conflicted and no answers to be had life was busy and i needed time and extra money to learn how to paint and i just didnt bother with any of it. i needed it a few times so i could put my car down and not use my other car cause its a pos winter beater. and it made me think about it again.
warm winter and a 70 degree day. i took me all of 20 minutes to fix the cvt issue now that i could think about it. rejet the carb. and have an absolute menace to bump around town on legally. technically. nobody cares. i costs me $15 to put it on the road for 4 years the tag says. the cops love it. the ppl in town love it. nobody knows what it is. and they have the same feelings about my blazer they offer me crazy money for. their just good actually clean fun.
in a bad state of tune i could easily cruise under my powerband at 60-65 mph into 30 mph steady winds with 40+ mph gusts twist the throttle and it would go but just seemed flat. now i have the lightest spring i had and ill pretty much be putting the same weights i had in it back in to drop the rpms slightly on acceleration. very odd that changing the contra spring didnt really affect the rpms. malossi overrange is the strangest piece of magic ive ever dealt with. nobody gets it but when it gets right we all love it.
it sounds like a dirtbike a very well built one. nice crisp free revs. on the road it cams pretty much on command so anything under 45-50 mph its able to make all the 2 stroke noises we love. thanks to that on decel it sounds like a snowmobile and crotch rocket and a race car or supercharger thanks to straight cut gears. it also pulls well at any speed unlike before. any speed you twist and rpm shoots up and power is instant. i did a ton of rough numbers lastnite talking with some friends cause they all knew it and only one "rode" the beast and he immediately almost crashed it and went off the road. i have the video. it was in a terrible tune then. roughly it has the hp per cylinder of a mid 80's corvette 20hp me x8 for v8 160hp corvette was about 150-170hp but alot heavier... roughly it has the hp per liter of a 1.0l 2000hp engine... really think about that. 20hp 70cc round up to 100cc im taking a disadvantage for ez math even. 100cc x 10 to get 1000cc 1 liter. 20hp x 10 to match 2000hp. shes a runner. basically indestructible and i got stuck on the last thing i used as a reference for them. i tried to explain its like having 1 cylinder from a race car and i kept thinking f1 car because their insanely dangerously fast and the rpm range matches. but their power is lower than most realize. no its like having the banned group b rally car cylinder. welded to you bar stool. thats what this thing is. scooty puff jr. finally grew up and scooty puff SR. is doing well. a little bald but hey. the 2020's were hard on us all ok. hes one of the only ones that actually quarantined politely.
