<script src="moz-extension://b7a78979-00f7-4b51-858f-d85f6fb02500/js/app.js" type="text/javascript"></script>My two stroker runs very hot very quickly. Were talking the 100's of degrees Celcius after a minute or two of riding and i think we can all agree that its definitely NOT normal at all. Im running a 70cc kit with a 21mm carb. I run a 100 main jet and 38 pilot and the needle clip in the topmost position, as it chops if i lower it. Im running it on a performance CDI and ignition coil with a BR8HS spark plug. Ive checked through the cooling system and the fan is perfect, the shrouds are just about not overlapping at the very bottom of where they meet under the exhaust, but i wrote it off as fine since its very little and its all the way at the bottom. Does anybody have any tips? Will my performance go down if i downgrade to a BR7HS plug or is something wrong in the engine/cylinder?
Edit: I'm running premix without an oil pump cable at around 35:1

So the spark plug looks normal? Have you tried riding partial throttle and see if it gets hot? When you say hundreds you mean 200°+ C?

What I meant by 100's was the 130°C area. Sorry for the confusion. It happens all the time, not just with partial throttle. If I upjet more, it'll start to four-stroke, but will still run very hot. Plug looks normal but now I'm contemplating a BR7HS plug since it's colder (Or is that not how it works?).
Could my rings be done for? I mean I was kinda harsh to it when I first put it on. Didn't exactly treat it like the love of my life.
I'm just scared of having to run watercooled instead, since I don't really have the kind of money for that, and also lack the expertise

I'm also thinking about just going for a bigger cylinder since my current has a hard time reaching a high speed. I'm running 6g rollers and a mid-stiff contra spring, but I barely see 60kmh.

That isn't that hot for an air cooled cylinder. If it's a CHT gauge you are using.

i wonder whats your exhaust? you say hard time reaching speeds. and have a pretty mild cvt setup. you may have a badly matched exhaust to your cylinder. the stinger size can also affect running conditions if it has a small stinger for a 50cc cylinder itll choke it bad. but most decent exhaust is designed for 70cc in mind. even a cheap used leo vince zx-r is known for hitting over 100kph or 60 mph with little mods with a cheap 70cc kit. what rpms are you at while your hitting 60kph. and what are your rpms when accelerating. does it bog from launch or rev up and go.

Sorry for the late reply. I run a Tecnigas Next-R with a very cheap 70cc cylinder kit. I think i paid around 30€ for it. It has 8g rollers in it now and it seems to want to reach a bit higher of a top speed, and i also marked the variator and pushed it as far as i could when i tested it, but i havent checked if the belt uses the whole variator yet. Its also from a cheap brand. Its around 9000-9200 RPM's when accelerating and i think it might be in the 9500 zone when im bottomed out. I have also yet to check it. The button on my multimeter broke so i have to use a very small screwdriver to swtich between the modes haha. Hope this helps if you have any ideas <script src="moz-extension://b7a78979-00f7-4b51-858f-d85f6fb02500/js/app.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
