As it stands, I have lots of car maintenance stuff, but nothing I can use to lift my scoot off the floor. I presume that the active users have gotten a lot out of a lift, so I want to ask which one did you go with? Furthermore, has the lift served you well over its lifespan? i.ebayimg.com/thumbs/images/g/t2sAAOSwlhpl3tdT/s-l500.webpIt doesn't have to be like the above linked picture exactly, just something that has some user tested backing.

Just a lift, or jack as I call them, are really helpful. I got mine from Amazon and use it almost every time I work on my bike.
Especially when you need to take rear tire off or need the bike to get under the bike

I just use a winch with an overhead beam in the garage similar to this: The extreme weight capacity is not needed. I figure 500# is more than enough for most scoots but your application may differ.
I do NOT put any part of my body under it for safety reasons just like you should not crawl under a car supported only with a jack. Once the scoot is lifted off the ground blocks of wood, sawhorses, etc. can be used to support it at any convenient height. For the overhead beam I use a 4x4 supported by 4 or 5 ceiling rafters and a 1/2" x 12" long forged steel "batting cage" eye bolt through the ceiling and 4x4. Double nut the bolt just enough to secure it with some blue Loctite, with a large flat washer through the 4x4. A small lifting strap or chain can be used as a way to attach to the scoot frame. I figure that is enough to support 500# safely but again your garage and application may differ. I actually have two lift points in the garage for various applications. I have thought about suspending a small I-beam from the two points and using a trolley and small chain hoist but that would take more investigation and safe load calculations are beyond me at my age.

I went with this one. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155946527632 it's similar to the one you linked. Had four or five engines out using it now. Makes it much easier. I just use it to lift the bike up at the back so I can get the weight off the engine. It will not really work if you want to use it as a full bike lift to have a scooter at waist height.

You want some kind of table. Tools are near, no stand in the way, you work upright. It's more expensive at first, but man, it's a necessary luxury ! I have mine since 2011 and use it everytime. In fact, I just bought a bigger one for motorcycle also. I know I'll keep it 20+years, so the sooner I have it, the longer I benefit from the buy.
