so some years ago i bought a whole water cooled scoot to pull party from to swap because cheap easy to source didnt exist. well years later they do and i never made a write up on it like i did for the coil on plug mod. which still works great.
so crank water pump sucks they go bad and parasitic drain. electric water pumps are all over cars these days and low power. you can google auxiliary water pump. and 20-30 dollars pops up all over they use a similar motor to a computer fan or pond fountain pump so less than an amp current draw for the small ones like mine. you can wire it to a switch or your key or the charge from your stator going to battery so its just on if the motor is running. i like hearing it turn on before i start the bike. or running after i shut it off like a turbo timer if i rode it hard.

coolant bottle and switches.
im going to make a shroud that connects to the plastic going up on that kick panel covering the steering tree. and goes back to the cut out battery box and the hole going into the back of the scoot and seat bucket. instead of the front plastics catching air in the tire pocket its going to force air through the radiators and the air intake will pick up fresh cool air from that hole too. will it be anything groundbreaking no but it will help with cooling which isnt an issue and it will help with some wind resistance. not that that matters either.
what does matter is the dirt cheap ability to water cool for the last few years and reliably. these pumps are known to last on cars for over 100k miles. so on a scoot itll last as long as you need it to. the one i got is serviceable too so if crud gets in it which it has i can remove 3 screws clean it out or replace a leaking gasket or broken impeller. thats pretty cool. itd work fine for 2 or 4t and even dirtbikes with electrical. maybe even some motorcycles. go karts whatever has a small 12v system.
i keep toying with making a small camping generator out of one of my spare cases aside from the noise i could even have 60 dollar watercooling setup for it so it can just sit and run all day and not care.
my current setup with this as is can go wot for miles if i wanted to. and when i ran it air cooled after 1 mile it was threatening to turn my piston to plasma. im currently working on making a temp gauge just for my piece of mind.
