Reed petal broken

Hi all I was noticing the jog was taking a few kicks to get started then she died on me in driveway when I got home and wouldn’t start It had spark cleaned out carby and still no start pulled out reed block and a fair old chunk of a reed petal had broke off its the standard metal style 5su engine petal ,should I go searching for this piece in engine or can I just source a new petal and continue life as normal ,cheers Todd

I would be curious enough to pull the head and inspect the face of the piston and cylinder bore. Hopefully it got tossed out the exhaust port into the pipe without further damage.
