When I put a BBK in the Ice Bear I'm guessing I messed up the engine. Online I've seen used scooters for $100. How can I know whether these cheap scooters are rideable or instead are toys to display on a shelf. The photo doesn't help. I recall somebody ordered a Harley and what showed up was a Harley but child-sized. If the white one in the photo is a real scooter I can deal with the fact that it's probably poor quality. I assumed I could build one decent scooter by combining the best parts of the two scooters.
Earlier I posted that it's Spring. But today it feels like Spring at the North Pole. The outdoor thermometer reads 40 degrees but the wind is 45MPH and the wind chill is in the negative numbers. Too miserably cold for me to work on any vehicles.

Are those training wheels? Where do you live? I have a scooter I just put together, 2003 Zuma with a Malossi 70cc and rejetted carb; otherwise stock; runs great, just about to post it on Marketplace.

Thanks. I live in northeast Connecticut, walking distance from the beach. After charging overnight it started this morning. But I still think there's damage. When i was putting in an 80cc kit I over-tightened and over-torqued the head. One of the four head bolts no longer holds torque. So the threads are shot on at least one stud and I think something will break soon. I'll look for your Zuma on Marketplace.
