I was working on installing a different reed cage but it didn't fit. After I reassembled everything I noticed I forgot this piece. How bad is it if I ride to work and back today? I'm off tomorrow so I can put it back in then.

As you found out, the standard horizontal minarelli reed cages do not fit the VINO. The Vino reed cage is unique to the Vino and old Jog's I believe. There are some aftermarket cages for the Vino but they are hard to find. Only one I ever saw was on Webbike Japan Vino reed cage I think that one will fit the Vino Inspect the metal reeds good next time you take it apart. I had a chip on one of mine.

The stock reeds looked to be in pretty good shape. I tried replacing them with one of the sets that came with either the cage or my cylinder kit but none of them fit lol.
I went and checked that link out. I'm ordering one lol

Run it without it is fine, Vino's have a funny swept forward reed Cage that uses 2 different size reeds which is an interesting design that i thought may have some pros/cons. You can buy Reed material and replicate the reeds
