I read that all scooters leak a bit. I had the scooter idling for two hours. I'm hoping I simply over-filled it.

I think you are thinking of classic scooters. I've never owned a scooter that leaked. 😉 That is a lot of oil. Can you tell where it's leaking from?

I need to pick up engine cleaner. I spray the engine then rinse with water and when it dries I should be able to see where the oil is leaking from. I'm still waiting for the engine to break. That's why I was letting it idle.

Lemmeee see... crankshaft seals at either end, cam/rocker arm cover gasket, cylinder base gasket, main drain plug, filter screen drain plug, filler cap, crankcase half gasket are the only place where oil can leak unless the case has a un-factory hole. Whatever is leaking, 2 hours of operation indicate it is either 1)open to splash inside the crankcase or 2)pumped as in the base gasket or the cam cover gasket. Either crankshaft seal might be directed to one end or the other. Leaking is not a standard feature of the 139QMB, as most are pretty dry. AFAIK. A last thought is the vent tube in the cam cover may be too short or directed downward and allow blowby to push oil out through the vent tube. Most times a long vent tube pointed upward will discourage most oil migration to fall back down the tube, unless blowby is really significant. tom

they're right thats alot of oil. you dont need to wait for engine cleaner and put even more oil on the floor meanwhile. just clean it with a towel or whatever.
