If it has valves and oil lubrication in the bottom of the engine. It's a four stroke.

If there's a dipstick/oil fill and a drain plug in the crankcase, it's a four-stroke. If not, it's a two-stroke... or you haven't looked hard enough. Don't confuse this with a transmission or gearbox drain or dipstick. Those will be toward the rear of most scooter engines. Engine oil related holes will be up front, nearer the flywheel/fan area.
Two-strokes and four-strokes sound different. A four-stroke sounds like most engines that you hear, because most other engine's are four-strokes. A two-stroke sounds more tinny. Think chainsaws and weed whackers.
If people seem excited when you ride by, it's probably a two-stroke. 😁
A quick google tells me that a 2016 Jet 50 should be a two-stroke. Larger models are four-strokes.

Do not run the engine until you verify the type. A two stroke (2T) will need an oil tank full of two stroke oil or pre-mixed fuel in the fuel tank. Plain gasoline without oil mixed with it somehow will ruin the engine.
