Chat gauge with temp sensor

So I bought one of these. The temp sensor has a copper loop that I suppose goes around the base of the spark plug. I say suppose because the instructions omit it completely and only talk about the wire that is the inductive pickup from the spark plug wire.
Regardless I tried to install it and the temp sensor is too bulky to install and won't let me screw in the spark plug without damaging something. Now I can do it if I were to shave one of my heat sink fins on the head... Don't know about doing that on a brand new 70cc head.

I was able to get it to fit on the malossi Athena and polini heads without grinding off any fins

You should remove the crush ring on the spark plug when using the chat gauge it gives a better seal
That is the small aluminum ring that is on the spark plug threads

How I got mine to work is I put the chat gauge an just a few threads on the spark plug and then hand tightened it down it helps it find where it sits best

I had to remove 1 little fin off the head to get it to be able to sit properly on my head. I just used some pliers to wiggle it back & forth & it broke off flush with the head. Problem solved.
