Hello Guys,
I have been digging for a while now to get some Information about the Malossi cases, I really hope someone around here can help me further.
My Plan is to participate in the german scooter race class this year and I have already put plenty of work in my Gilera Runner.
I want to ride with the Stage 6 R/T 70 which can be flange mounted, my original cases are destroyed so I am getting the Malossi anyway. Now my question is:
Can I choose between the C or RC one case? I dont have much experience with high end builds.
Since the Cylinder Base of the R/T 70 has a diameter of 56,1mm and the cases have 61mm I am thinking if that can lead to problems. I mean the cylinder wont fit tight into the case like I know from other stock engines I have built. Does this come with any risks or is the alignment good enough with the stud bolts? Also I am thinking about turbulences in the flowing if the gap is too big between the Cylinderfoot (hope thats the right word lol) and the case.
Of course if the RC one works out I would get this to maybe upgrade to a big bore setup in the future without having to spend too much again. For my understanding 94cc doenst work with the C-One.. right?
I would be very thankful if someone could answer some of my questions.
Thanks in advance. Selim

You would be better getting the C one from what I can tell. As the adaptor plate for the RT 70 bolts to the engine case. Then the studs from the adaptor bolt the cylinder down. The RC one won't except standard size cylinder bolts. But the C one has both stud sizes already present.
