I know most people in their need for speed they throw a big bore kit in their scoots. I know I did. Recently I threw my stock bore back in my Zuma. My mpg were suffering and I didn't want to get stuck with a ticket or worse, impounded.
So for the past few weeks I've been riding around on a stock bore with a leo vince zxr pipe and stage 6 goodies in the cvt. Two days ago my friend approaches me with a deal. A brand new Malossi 50cc Sport Kit for my stage 6 sport pro. I thought why not?
So I traded and installed it yesterday morning. Wow. I'm pretty impressed. I had a little trouble getting it in tune with the 82 and 84 jets I had but with the 84 and snorkel removed my plug chops look nice. Performance is good too.
Stock was about 40 with cruising around 35.
70cc was around 52 with cruising around low 40's.
Malossi kit about 45 but cruising around the same as the 70cc. Think I may be able to get more out of it with some cvt tuning.
For me this a great combo and works out great for my driving. With laws around here maybe changing I wanted to keep my zuma a 50cc. This was a good way to do it I think. Now I don't know the exact numbers with this kit compared to a stock bore or anything but I like it haha. Just wanted to share what I've come across since I don't see to many people talking about 50cc kits.
The kit I have is a little pricey but matched with the pipe and other goodies I don't see myself going back to the "dark side" haha. Cheers guys thanks for reading. Below is the kit I have and bad but recent pic of my zuma.
