Hi all, I have a pipe for a horizontal motor that my friend gave to me for free, but I have a Yamaha CA50 with the vertical motor. I was wondering if it was feasable to convert/reweld the header so that I can run it on my scoot. Thanks!

The Yamaha vertical Minarelli engine exhaust port is a lot higher than the horizontal engine. You could do it but this would mean adding length to the pipe. It would be much simpler going the other way. You can see just bolting a vertical onto a horizontal engine like this how much longer it needs to be. 😬  |
