Hello. I am currently in the midst of a gy6 conversion on a new Chinese scooter from Amazon. The X-Pro Maui is a qmb139 short case (10 inch wheels). I purchased a 150cc long case (12 inch wheels) from PartsForScooters to swap the qmb out with. I also purchased a gy6 top mount from Parts, and we used that to fab up tabs that we welded on. We realized that the stock shocks were way too short. And we noticed the mount is hinged and supposed to rock with some movement. I want to order longer shocks and the rubber pads for the mount rocker, but here's another big concern. There may not be clearance for the exhaust even with longer shocks and restricting range of movement of the mount. Does anybody here have any experience or wisdom regarding a swap like this? I know it's not as cookie-cutter as the Ruckus swap, but this bike is essentially a Tao knockoff.
