Mvt dd6 eprom cdi running backwards

I have installed the mvt dd6 eprom 3cdi on my scooter, I have set it up to 2.9 before TDC as in instructions, but every ones in a while it starts backwards. It starts in on kick. But your not sure what way you are going 🤣 any solutions to this. I have tried to flip the switches to - 3 degree and it seems to help but I still find it strange that this is nesesary. And have not dyno it yet, but the switch position will effect the whole curve

ryan_ott told me that his would start backwards occasionally. As I remember it, he revved it just enough to see if the scoot went forward or not. If not, restart and try again.

Indeed I had the same issue. Every few starts it would run backwards and just seemed to be a thing while using that CDI. Never had that with the original CDI and never completely got rid of the occurrence.
