Without getting into a large debate about the ways to measure temperature, and all the other variables, could people please chime in who run a Trailtech Gauge with the sparkplug CHT Sensor regarding their personal temperature limit? What is Your max temp you comfortably let it get to? I have a Stage 6 70cc kit on my '05 Yamaha Bugeye Zuma and have been playing with jetting on my 21mm 'Dellorto' carb. It seems to run well but I see temperature at 330° and I get nervous. I don't want to melt anything on this. Running premix 32:1, Sealevel, 15° C, [Jetting at 85Main, 38Pilot, 262AU needle on 2nd down], ok there are some variables.. What's a reasonable limit...350°? Many thanks!

Under 350 is what I use as a guide for a upper limit that I want the temps to level off at on long wide open runs I run about 4 miles wide open to work and I need my jetting to be safe for that run .
my Zuma with a similar set up to yours leveled off in the 340-350 degree range depending temps and humidity of the day. The vino are in the 320-330 range with stock carbs and just kits and street pipes .

Thank you for the reply! That's exactly what I was looking for. I think mine will get to 340° and probably stabilize there but I let off to be sure. Maybe I'll test that theory now.
Anyone else use 350° as a safe limit?

Anyone else use 350° as a safe limit? Absolutely. You should be able to run WOT constantly without creeping far past 350. Remember that just because WOT is tuned correctly does not mean you are good in mid and low. You could easily be lean or rich anywhere.
