Heya, so I have an older Kymco zx 50 its recommended fuel is 98 octane fuel (5% or less ethanol) which is becoming harder and harder to find as most gas stations are favoring higher ethanol fuel. So I started to look for alternative fuel sources, ideally ones with a longer lifespan as I live in Central Europe meaning the scooter will sit for 6+ months between seasons.
Since I don't ride during winter times and I came across aspen fuel, only problem is they only offer 2 stroke premix and 4 stroke fuel in reasonable 5L sized jugs they also have Classic Vehicle fuel. But it comes in a 25l drum, which seems overkill since my scooter only takes like 3.5 liter and I maybe need to refuel like 3 times per season as I don't really have long trips.
So my question is this, since my scooter has a fully functional and well maintained oil pump, will running 2 stroke 2% pre-mix cause any long term issues? If so what? What about 4 stroke since I only read that the issue is that is lacks oil but since I have oil injection will I be fine or are there other issues? If so what? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a 25L drum of Classic Vehicle fuel (which would last me almost 3 years) or is it bound to go bad during that time even if it's a long lifespan fuel?
