We've all probably seen Brixiamoto's stuff listed on both Amazon and Ebay, and their store reviews were somewhat worrisome for such a large outfit. But I went to next step of sketchiness, and decided to order directly from their website... twice. Here's my review.
TLDR, both orders were delivered to my house in about three weeks in good/usable condition. Shipping is sketchy, but it worked.
1) Ordered replacement ignition/key set for my Italian scooter on 3/19/24 for $34, shipping was $16 (sketchy cheap), order total was just under $50. Shipment was labelled as a 5 day "handing time", and was shipped to Colorado. 5-days with no update, and I contacted their support. They replied with a corporate apology and assurance. Whatever, lets see what happens. Waited another 2 days, nothing. Contacted their support, same corpo nonsense. Asked to cancel the order, same corpo nonsense. Said I'd call my CC company, and I got a shipping notification 12-hours later. Whatever, lets see how this goes. Shipping company was PostNL, never heard of them, so very sketchy considering the cheap shipping cost. Whatever, nothing I can do now. Shipping updates were super bland, sometimes sitting on the same status update for several days. Eventually, the tracking info showed up on USPS's website, with domestic cities listed in the updates. Whew, the order isn't vaporware, and I'm eventually gonna get... something. Oh, USPS will not give you an estimated delivery date. I'm guessing this is USPS's version of Frontier Airlines 'bare fare' shipping. I'm cool with that, makes my sh*t cheaper. Package showed up on 4/10/24 in a thin plastic bag, with very little packing protection, but in good working condition. The ignition set was SUPER cheap, and the ignition key/lock is super finicky, but I should have expected that for the price I paid. It works, I'm happy, and now I have a scooter that's 10% harder to steal. Sweet
2) Brixia had a 10% sitewide sale for baby Jesus's resurrection, and I wanted a sport crank. Found a MotoForce sport crank for about $45, bearings/seals for about $12, and a kevlar belt for $10. Shipping was again, $16 (I'll explain this later). It had a 5-day handling time, and it shipped on (business) day-5. Cool. Ordered on 4/2/24, shipped on 4/10, arrived on my doorstep on 4/23. Alright, so an average of a three week wait, but hella-cheap shipping, and (relatively) hella-cheap parts. I can deal with that.
Brixia appears to only have 2-tiers for international US shipping, one is $14-16, the next is $42... for literally anything. $42 for an exhaust, $42 for two exhausts, or $42 for a warehouse of exhausts. Hell, even a Malossi engine was $42 shipped. Don't know if this is an error, but neither my first or second order were suspended or held due to shipping-cost errors. So maybe $42 is their max, which is kinda insane given the alternatives. Now the $16 tier is a bit more... technical. There's not really a science to it. I originally had a crank, bearings, and a different belt my cart, and the shipping was quoted at $42. Gross. I removed the belt, $16. I'm liking this capitalism foreplay. Added a different belt to the cart, $42. Next move. Exchanged the bearing for different bearings, $16. I win, pressed 'play', order shows up 3 weeks later.
Honestly, not terrible. Actually, better than I expected. I was a bit hasty with their CS in the beginning, but I'm used to America's shipping info and order handling. Although, I have a Prime 2-day order for an Athena cylinder kit that's been delayed for about a month now, I hope this won't be the norm here in the US moving forward. You can call me names below, but my juices were flowing from reading the less-than-stellar Brixia reviews online. Oh well, It worked.
I can neither recommend or condemn orders from Brixiamoto. My orders went through without too much trouble, and I got what I ordered in usable condition. If that's what you're looking for, then here ya go.
