I have in my possession an amazonian 50cc x-pro maui. I am going through the run-in process, still ~100km in. The scooter now has a trailtech vapor, which I'm using to keep an eye on the rpms. My first ride with the CHT sensor hooked up, here are some of my readings:
Idle: 170-190°F
Low speed: 230-250°F
Medium speed / hills: 260-280°F
I don't know if these numbers are high, low, or average. This is my first 4-stroke, a QMB139.

I should add that I just replaced the stock carburetor and exhaust as well.

I think 90GTVert did some YT videos on his cylinder head temperatures. There may be links on-site. The reported numbers do not sound too hot to me. I am not a professional of any sort. Major thing, IMO, is to give the engine a 'break' while riding. Every now and then for a while just let the throttle close completely and coast down 5-10 kph/mph. Resume as you see fit. The closed throttle supposedly creates high intake vacuum, which might help pull some oil up and lube the rings/cylinder wall. Or so I have been told. When replacing rings, the instructions stated to get into high gear, floor the gas(from about 30mph) and accelerate hard to 50mph. Then back off completely and cruise for a while @30mph. Repeat the accelerate/cruise serices about 10 times. It worked pretty well in a '54 Chevy six that the engine still ran good enough to be transplanted into a much newer vehicle after about ten years and was used for another five before being tired. So, when I bought my new car, I tried to do similar for the first 500 miles. Good luck. tom
