Yamaha zuma, fuel injucted , water cooled, quit running

Ran graet untill it all the sudden started acting like it wanted to loose all power, and started missing and sputtering real bad. I cut it off and it aint hit a lick since. Batterys good, i can hear the fuel pump kick on, dont no about the injectors. Ive never owned a fuel injected scooter and i dont know shit about em. It is probly some technacal shit i know nothing about and ill just mess it up more. Can somebody tell me if hhey know , in laymens terms how to fix my only ride to work. Thank you

Water in the gas could be a problem. You may be able to check the injector by pulling it, and cranking with the injector sitting on the head/block/whatever. You could check the signal to the injector using a small bulb.
I think before all that, I would remove the spark plug, squirt in some fuel, replace the spark plug and crank it over. If the spark works, the engine should fire on the splash of fuel. If no pops, check the ignition closer.
