Hi all,
I'm new to scooters and to the forum. Just bought a used 2007 Yamaha C3 but not picking it up until this coming Sunday. I'll be driving it home (about 35km / 22 miles) and am looking forward to it!
I paid $2000 CAD for it, which is about $1465USD for reference. I hope that's not too much ... oddly 50cc scooters up here cost as much or more than 125cc scooters, probably because you need an actual motorcycle license to ride anything bigger than 50cc.
I've already found the forum pretty useful as I've been googling various questions and keep getting directed here, LOL.
I'll post some pictures when I get it home. I have plans for upgrades already - I've ordered a Polini High-Speed variator, an OEM rear rack, a windshield and some miscellaneous stuff.
My wife plans to commute to work on nice days, and I'll be using it for puttering around town and saving on gas vs. driving my truck. I might even do some silly things like take it camping, because I'm weird that way. I've done bike-packing before, so it sounds fun to do on a scooter!

Welcome to the forum. Small scooters can cover surprising big miles. It just takes a while. The C3 has a comfortable seat, so just enjoy the scenery.

Brought the beast home tonight... 35km drive (about 22 miles) from Southeast Calgary to my little city of Airdrie in 50kph (30mph) headwinds on a wonderfully rainy 8C (46F) afternoon. LOL. Stopped raining before I got home, so that was nice! Yay, Adventure! So-far no mods... Just a phone mount.
