I noticed recently that my stock TK carb was slowly leaking oil into the throat of the carb and then subsequently into the carb bowl and back into the intake. It was slow enough that it would run fine, but if I left it long enough it would likely eventually cause problems. The link below shows the exact same issue I had. I never attempted to fix the check valve like this because I had already ordered a new Stage6 Dellorto 19mm PHBG carb that I thought would resolve the issue.

Upon looking over my new carb, I realized that the new carb has NO check valve on the oil inject nipple. I shined a flashlight into the throat and I could see the light coming through the nipple so it is wide open. If I hook my oil line up to this im sure I'll have a flood of oil if I dont run it for a week or so.
I would replace my pump, but based on the thread above (as well as my experience with other 2-stroke pumps) I dont think that will fix anything. What have others done when putting in one of these carbs? Just dealing with the oil leak? Maybe dont even know it's going on? I tried looking for an inline check valve I could drop in, but theyre all quite large and I worry that the cracking pressure will be too high. I found that you can order replacement CV assemblies like the ones pressed into the stock carb (link below) and I thought about pressing one into my new carb, but I dont want to damage it.

I already yanked the CV out of my stock carb to look at it so right now I am thinking ill try to make an end cap for it out of brass that I can press on to the open end. This will hold the spring/ball in place and provide another barb so I can add a length of tubing to reach the inlet on the PHBG.
Anyone else have any better ideas? Still surprised this doesnt seem to be a more prevalent issue with the number of people running aftermarket carbs...
