I replaced my car battery today with an exact oem replacement and I’m glad I did since I just found the date on it and it’s the same battery it rolled off the production line with, dated 27week of 2012. I have never seen a battery last 12 years, 7 maybe tops

Where was it mounted? I have seen trunk mounted batteries last for over 10 years but the engine compartment gets very hot and limits battery life.

Sounds like they may have provided a lot of air circulation etc to cool it. It is amazing what they can do if they try.
