Hello guys, as you can read from the title I am having severe tuning issues with my Yamaha Jog that I bought some parts for... So I bought Yasuni Z exhaust, Polini hi speed variator kit, Polini belt, jet kit and mallosi air filter ( insert).
I put together everything and its running horribly, I unrestricted the silencer on the exhaust as I couldn't the pipe as its welded in like hell, put in a 80 main jet (was 76 before) and seems to be running okay, and now the polini cvt kit with a blue central spring or whatever yall call it and blue clutch springs with 6,9g rollers and a polini vario. Scooter before stock was accelerating like it wanted to lift off but now I get it because of heavy rollers but I should get some better speeds right? yea no, not the case before was runing like 60km/h max no barely 45km/h in the hill? yea 25km/h. I actually don't know what to do. Are the springs too stiff? Did i waste 70 bucks on a unusable variomat kit? yea probably. Can you guys please help.
Kind regards.

the yasuni z has 2 resrictions to remove one in the silencer and one in head of the pipe where it bolts up to the cylinder www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/yasuni-exhausts-how-to-derestrictRetrace your steps Go back to stock transmission weights and stock contra spring keep the blue clutch springs keep the pipe installed with the current up jet with stock Airbox regular filter You should feel more power when it gets in the band than before and more top speed . Next steps Things you will need Lighter variator weights somewhere in the 5 ,5.5 and 6 gram range would have it spinning in the power band and give you more peak rpms with power Try those 3 weights take the one that gives you the best top speed and feels spunkiest on and off throttle

Hello Zino, should I combine the weights like 5g then 6g and so on or should I keep them all the same, also should I put in the back stock contra spring?

If you don't remove the restriction from the front pipe it will only have about half the power it should have. Just buy a cheap pack of grinding stones and use them in a drill to remove the welds.

Run the stock back contra Only go to a stiffer contra if your belt slips .
you can run all 5's and then 5,6,5,6,5,6 to average at 5.5 and to keep you balanced and all 6's With the stock contra most likely 5.5 or 6 average will be the best one
you will like the pipe so much better derestricted

Listen to zino and aerox. I've been lurking and learning for a bit as I throw parts at my Zuma and they are very knowledgeable. Once you get the right combo of parts you'll be amazed with the difference. That restrictor in your exhaust will absolutely kill your performance. I've got some fine tuning to do still, but it's a screamer now.
One but of advice, change one thing at a time. Too many variables at once makes it real hard to dial in. A bigger carb would also be a nice addition to your setup in the future

Hey bacon, I am actually planning on a 70cc kit soon anyway so will need a bigger carb anyway but thanks for advice.

Yes like bacon said, only change one thing at a time. It's very easy to start chasing your tail trying to figure out what worked, or didn't if you make many changes at once.

Hey guys, I derestriced the exhaust and the difference is actually amazing from 20km/h I can easily go to 50 and up, Too bad my ignition coil broke and had to buy a new one xd. And bought the weights for my vario too so thanks to every and each one of yall I would probably just put the bike aside and let it sit there without your help. THANKS

Glad you got that thing stroking like it should, I have two Dios in the back of the shop I am going to drag out soon
